Media Release:
Australian Trainers can join millions of players worldwide for two days of Pokémon adventures on 14–15 November 2026
Pokémon GO is inviting Australian Trainers to get outside, explore and join millions of players around the world when Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global returns on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November 2026.
Running from 10am to 6pm local time each day, the worldwide event will see Steel and Dragon-type Pokémon take centre stage, with exciting Pokémon debuts, powerful encounters, special challenges and opportunities for Trainers to team up with friends and their local communities.
Among the biggest highlights is the Pokémon GO debut of Gigantamax Duraludon, which will appear in six-star Max Battles, alongside the arrival of Dynamax Dialga and Dynamax Palkia. Trainers can challenge Dynamax Dialga on Saturday and Dynamax Palkia on Sunday, while special raids will feature legendary Pokémon including Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem.

Throughout the weekend, Trainers will also have the chance to encounter exceptionally powerful mighty Pokémon in the wild. These rare Pokémon are more challenging to catch, with the event-exclusive GO Safari Balls offering players a better chance of adding them to their collection.
The adventure will continue with rotating Steel and Dragon-themed wild encounters, opportunities to discover Shiny Pokémon and special in-game bonuses. Trainers can also team up to take on powerful Raid Bosses and Max Battles, making it the perfect opportunity to head outdoors and connect with fellow Pokémon GO Trainers.
While everyone can participate in the global event, an optional paid ticket will unlock additional rewards, exclusive Special Research, enhanced bonuses and an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon. Ticket holders will also have opportunities to encounter the mighty Legendary Pokémon Latias and Latios.
With Pokémon GO celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, GO Wild Area is another opportunity for Trainers of all ages to come together, explore their neighbourhoods and experience the game as a community.
