Brisbane is set to become a giant real-world Pokémon GO playground when Pokémon GO City Safari: Brisbane takes over the city on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026.

Trainers will be encouraged to explore seven zones across Brisbane, including the City Centre, Roma Street Parkland, Queensland Cultural Centre, South Bank, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane River Walk and New Farm Park, with themed PokéStops, Gyms and a city-wide Stamp Rally along the way.

At the heart of the weekend will be the City Safari Hub at Queen Street Mall, where fans can grab a Pikachu visor and limited-edition stickers, take photos with friends and kick off their Brisbane adventure. The Queen Street Mall hub will run from 9am–6pm each day.

There will also be an official Pokémon GO community photo at King George Square at midday on Sunday, a dedicated Pokémon trading hour, and the Pokémon Regional Championships happening at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre across the same weekend, featuring Pokémon TCG, video game and Pokémon GO tournaments.

Ticket holders will unlock the exclusive City Safari gameplay, while the in-person live activities are open to everyone, making it a colourful weekend for Pokémon fans across Brisbane.
