Media Release:
Captain’s log: October 20, 2026, reporting from the helm of DailyMTG. It’s time to boldly go into the final frontier with Magic: The Gathering® | Star Trek™! The 60-year legacy of Star Trek is coming to Magic, bringing tales of directive-defying captains and eclectic exoplanets from across the decades. Nearly every incarnation of Star Trek, from The Original Series to the latest voyages into space, is here. Take your seat in the captain’s chair, chart a course for your local game store, and prepare for this set’s release on November 13, 2026.
The Magic team’s prime directive was to capture the most exciting parts of Star Trek in this set, and that includes the Booster Fun treatments and products. We have all the details on what you can find in this release here. If you’re just looking for the highlights, like the hand-signed headliner cards, here are the four most important things to know about collecting Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek.
1. Signed Headliner Cards from Star Trek Actors

The actors of Star Trek are synonymous with the franchise’s impact, and they’ve brought their gravitas and likenesses to Magic with these signed headliner cards. Each signed card was printed, physically signed by an iconic Star Trek actor, and randomly inserted into a Collector Booster. These signatures, which come paired with a portrait-style depiction of their character, are a genuine piece of Star Trek history, and you can bring them to your Magic collection.
There are 7 different signed cards in Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek. There are fewer than 250 copies of each signed card, and each features a signature from a Star Trek actor. For more information, check out this section.
2. Make Landfall with LCARS Shock Lands

Explore 10 different and strange new worlds with the 10 LCARS shock lands. Each LCARS shock land features a special frame that captures the Enterprise‘s on-board computer, and the artwork depicts one of the many unforgettable planets explored in Star Trek. Whether you’re navigating Standard with Steam Vents or charting a course through Legacy with Watery Grave, you’ll want to add these lands to your personal database.
Non-foil and traditional foil LCARS shock lands appear in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. Surge foil versions of these cards appear only in Collector Boosters.
3. Explore Federation History on Stardates Cards

Some of Star Trek‘s most famous faces and stories are coming to Magic‘s hottest reprints in borderless stardates cards. We took instantly recognizable cards from throughout Magic‘s history and reimagined them within Star Trek‘s universe. Take Kenrith, the Returned King, who is known here as “General Picard, Earth Warlord.”
Non-foil stardates cards appear in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. Traditional foil stardates cards appear only in Collector Boosters.
4. Bring the Beam Me Up Bundle to the Bridge

Here’s an especially exciting piece of cargo: the Beam Me Up Bundle. Each Beam Me Up Bundle includes Play Boosters, a Collector Booster, and 2 of 8 traditional foil Beam Me Up Bundle promo cards. We took 8 of the most exciting Spacecraft cards from Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek and tricked them out with a new treatment that looks like a schematic from Starfleet’s records.
Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek releases on November 13, 2026, and is available for preorder now from your local game store, Amazon, and elsewhere Magic is sold.
