Media Release:
A brand-new anime and pop culture event is set to take over Brisbane, with AniMayhem making its highly anticipated debut on 2–3rd May 2026 (10am-4pm each day) at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Created by the team behind Oz Comic-Con, AniMayhem promises a high-energy, fan-first experience celebrating anime, cosplay, gaming and Otaku culture.
International Guests, Live Entertainment & Itasha Car Designs
Joining Animayhem is dystopia-pop idol PAiDA, and she’s bringing chaos, cuteness, and cosmic energy with her. Hailing from Space City, Texas, PAiDA is a fever-dream artist on a mission to bring humanity to its knees… and save Earth with cute music. After performing across the US and Japan, she’s now ready to take over AniMayhem.
Also on the guest list is Brisbane-based idol group A-MUSE Project, bringing high-energy live performances, original music and meet-and-greet opportunities. The group has built a strong following through original releases and appearances, including the Tokyo Idol Festival Asia Tour.
Adding to the visual spectacle, AniMayhem will also feature a vibrant Itasha Car Display, showcasing custom-wrapped vehicles adorned with bold, anime-inspired designs. A growing subculture within fandom, Itasha transforms everyday cars into moving works of art, celebrating beloved characters and series. Fans can get up close to these eye-catching builds and experience another unique expression of anime creativity.
