Cricut, Inc. today announced Cricut Maker 5, its most versatile smart cutting machine yet, designed to help people confidently turn their ideas into meaningful, personalised items. Launching in line with International, the Cricut Maker 5 Essential Bundle will be available at Australian and New Zealand retailers from Wednesday 9^th September.

Cricut Maker 5 brings together expanded material capabilities, specialised tools, and an intuitive guided design experience. From popular and everyday projects like personalised t-shirts and full-colour stickers to special projects like engraved metal tags, custom jewellery, dimensional home decor, and signage, Cricut Maker 5 offers unlimited creative freedom.

New to Cricut Maker 5 is the ability to cut and engrave compatible materials* up to 3 mm thick — a 25% increase in clearance compared with the previous generation’s 2.4 mm limit — opening more possibilities with materials such as leather, acrylic, metal, foam core, corrugated plastic, and felt. Combined with a sleek new design that’s 30% more compact than the previous generation, Cricut Maker 5 delivers the brand’s most versatile making experience in a smaller footprint.

Compatible with more than 300 materials and 13 specialised tools, Cricut Maker 5 cuts, writes, draws, foils, scores, debosses, embosses, engraves, and more. With thoughtful improvements to features like the adaptive tool system, creators can cut everything from delicate materials like fabric and crepe paper to thicker materials like leather, foam core, and corrugated plastic. This versatility gives people the flexibility to create across occasions, interests, and skill levels – from personalised gifts, t-shirts, and home decor to custom accessories, signage, jewellery, and 3D projects.

With the ability to cut and engrave compatible materials up to 3 mm thick, Cricut Maker 5 enables projects with greater depth, durability, and dimension. Users can engrave a metal luggage tag or acrylic sign, and explore more advanced techniques from a single machine.
