TCL’s recently announced Super Quantum Dot (SQD) Mini LED TV range is now available for purchase across Australia, marking a meaningful step forward in display innovation.
Built on TCL’s continued leadership in Mini LED technology, SQD-Mini LED brings together more precise light control, richer colour performance, and a more refined viewing experience.
The new range consists of the flagship X11L SQD-Mini LED TV, C8L SQD-Mini LED TV, and the C7L SQD-Mini LED, now available to local consumers in major retailers.
This upgrade is backed by TCL’s strong global market performance. According to Omdia, TCL ranked No.1 globally in shipment market share for 75-inch-and-above TV sets in 2025, No.1 in global Mini LED TV shipment market share in 2025, and No.1 in global Google TV shipment market from 2021 to 2025.
All TVs in the 2026 range also include Google Gemini AI, with TCL being the first TV brand globally to launch with Gemini pre-installed.

At the core of SQD-Mini LED are three key technology advancements.
First, Precise Dimming enhances backlight control through upgraded light-emitting chips, next-generation micro-lens technology, reduced halo interference, micro-OD design, and advanced light control algorithms. The result is higher brightness, better uniformity, improved dark-scene performance, smoother motion, and a slimmer TV profile.
Second, Super QLED takes colour performance further with 33% wider colour gamut, 17% higher colour purity, and 45% blue light energy optimisation. This delivers richer colours, purer expression, and a more comfortable viewing experience.
Third, the Ultra Colour Filter improves colour filtering precision with upgraded materials and a refined process developed over five years. With particle sizes smaller than 5 nanometers, it helps reduce colour impurities and restore colours more accurately on screen.
Among TCL’s flagship innovations, the TCL X11L — the World’s First SQD-Mini LED Flagship — stands as the ultimate embodiment of SQD-Mini LED technology. First announced at CES 2026, it received the Innovative Display Technology Gold Award at the Global Top Brands (GTB) Awards, a respected global consumer electronics honor founded by International Data Group (IDG) and supported by IDC.
TCL’s full 2026 range also features other QD-Mini LED and QLED TV options, including the P7LS, P8LS, and C6L TVs.
