Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II: Robot Skeletons vs Mechanical Men

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II: Robot Skeletons vs Mechanical Men

A new gameplay overview video for Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II has been released, offering a detailed look at the new features and expanded scope of the upcoming turn-based tactical game. Developed by Bulwark Studios and published by Kasedo Games, the sequel plunges players into an epic conflict with two fully playable factions and multiple campaigns.

The Conflict Unfolds

The game’s plot centers on a long-dormant rivalry. After millennia of slumber, Vargard Nefershah mobilizes her Necron dynasty to annihilate the Adeptus Mechanicus, who have unknowingly settled on her world. In response, Magos Dominus Faustinius is summoned to ensure the Necrons’ defeat. This central conflict is not the full story, however, as the war soon draws in “external actors stranger and more deadly still.”

In a significant upgrade from the original, players can now choose to fight as either the Adeptus Mechanicus or the Necrons, with each side featuring its own full narrative campaign. Players will fight to lead the Necron resurgence or ensure the survival of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

Strategic Command and Environmental Warfare

Strategic gameplay is once again at the forefront. Players will manage their territories’ garrisons and assemble forces for each mission from a vastly expanded selection of fighters. New environmental mechanics add another layer of tactical depth, requiring players to maneuver their forces like never before. The Adeptus Mechanicus can use terrain for cover, while the Necrons can leverage their destructive capabilities to obliterate it, showcasing the unique strengths and weaknesses of each faction.

The game is expertly brought to life with music and audio design by acclaimed composer Guillaume David. The gripping narrative is a continuation of the Mechanicus saga, written by veteran author Ben Counter, best known for his Black Library novels. The player’s choices throughout the multiple campaigns will shape the course and climactic outcome of the war.
