Wargaming October wrap up

Wargaming rolled out the Halloween decorations for October with events to celebrate the spooky season across all titles. The most exciting of these announcements was a collaboration with iconic rock legends, Korn, for World of Tanks Blitz, and collaboration between World of Tanks and two of the creatives from the Silent Hill series. More details on all of Wargaming’s activities can be seen below.

In addition to collaborating with Korn, World of Tanks Blitz featured three unique Halloween events this month: Burning Games, The Way of the Raider, and Mad Games. World of Warships Legends also brought a unique Halloween event to the table with the Rust ‘n’ Rumble mode, set in a post-apocalyptic universe and featuring incredible artwork as displayed above.

Looking forward to next month, Wargaming announced that in celebration of Veterans Day, World of Warships will host a live virtual Fleet Week celebration. The event aims to honor and preserve Navy culture in an accessible medium.

World of Tanks: Mirny-13 Event

Starting October 26, World of Tanks invited tankers to the biggest Halloween event in its 10-year history. Collaborating with Masahiro Ito, the Art Director and Monster Designer behind the Silent Hill universe and Akira Yamaoka the star Composer behind the same nightmarish series – the event exposed players to the sinister story of a scientific experiment gone wrong.

World of Tanks Console: Monsters Awaken

Kicking off October 27, the Monsters Awaken game mode returned to World of Tanks Console. The 7v7 matches pit monster on monster, giving players the ability to command ferocious tanks with otherworldly abilities.

Korn Joins Forces with World of Tanks Blitz

Collaborating with iconic rock legends, Korn, World of Tanks Blitz helped debut the music video for ‘Finally Free’, a track featured on Korn’s latest studio album, The Nothing. The music video tells the story of Captain, a die-hard Korn fan and known character in the World of Tanks Blitz universe.

Blitz also featured three unique Halloween events across the month: Burning Games, The Way of the Raider, and Mad Games.

World of Warships 0.9.10

Update 0.9.10, released at the end of October, features a limited time battle mode and the second stage of the U.S. Battleships event. The U.S. Battleships event is all about the U.S. Navy, designed to inform players about the main batteries of battleships, admirals and medals of service in both World Wars.

The Big Hunt: The Key to Victory! event is a monstrous limited time battle mode to celebrate Halloween. Players will have to fight against each other and AI-controlled monsters to reach a portal in the centre of the map and escape the dystopian sci-fi world.

World of Warships: Legends October update 2.7

Update 2.7 brought a series of changes to World of Warships: Legends, including an update to the new Italian cruisers, a new campaign titled Steel Redeemer, and improvements to the Russian destroyer tech tree. The most exciting part of the update was the Rust ‘n’ Rumble Halloween event, which was live from October 19 til October 31. Players could brawl it out in a four-way team deathmatch for command of a sunken post-apocalyptic city and earn a variety of themed rewards.

Fleet Week

In celebration of Veterans Day, World of Warships has partnered with Verizon to honour and preserve navy culture in the face of the global pandemic through virtual celebrations. A live virtual Fleet Week celebration will occur on November 9, just prior to Veterans Day. Virtual Fleet Week will feature the most iconic U.S. warships as well as a special keynote speech by Chief Executive Officer of the United States Naval Institute, Vice Admiral Peter Daly.
