Ravensburger has today released Fabled, the ninth instalment of the popular Disney Lorcana Trading
Card Game (TCG), introducing important new aspects to the game:
- Two new card rarity tiers
- Reprints from Sets 1 – 4
- Collection-focused products designed to introduce Disney fans to the game
For those who love to search for stunning versions of their favourite characters, there will be two new rarities to look for in each booster pack: Iconic and Epic. Rarer than Enchanted, Iconic cards are extremely rare with only two appearing in each set, while Epic cards will appear more often than Enchanted cards and feature special artwork and foil treatments.
Fabled also introduces beloved characters from A Goofy Movie and Dumbo to the Disney Lorcana universe, featuring new Single Player Decks with Max & Powerline (Ruby/Emerald) and Mulan & Ariel
(Amber/Sapphire) combinations, alongside booster packs, accessories, and the signature Illumineer’s Trove.
Fabled marks the first set rotation in Disney Lorcana’s two-year history. Sets 1 – 4 move from “Core Constructed” to “Infinity Constructed” format, requiring competitive players to adapt deck strategies using cards from Sets 5 onward. The rotation aims to maintain competitive balance while the reprint strategy ensures popular cards remain accessible. Cards reprinted in Fabled remain legal for Core Constructed play.
The Collection Starter Set ($49.99 AUD), launching 3 October, has everything new collectors and Disney fans need to kick-start their collection. It contains 4 Fabled booster packs with 48 spectacularly illustrated cards, card portfolios and the Tinker Bell – Giant Fairy promo card for a little extra sparkle.
The product will only be available at Big W, EB Games and JB Hi-Fi.
The Elsa Gift Box ($59.99 AUD), launching 3 October alongside the Collection Starter Set, offers plenty of fun for fans of Frozen. It features all-new art, 5 booster packs from different Disney Lorcana TCG sets, and the “glimmer foil” Elsa – The Fifth Spirit promo card – guaranteed to make any collection that much cooler.
