The well received Space Marine 2 will feature in the Warhammer episode, each of the franchises has a ‘special deal’, you find a code via social media and go to secretlevel.com to unlock the deal… which will take you to this page.
The Warhammer 40,000 deal is, unsurprising, a Space Marine. A Captain with a set of 7 paints and starter brush for a cool $70 AUD… ($40 USD, or £25 UKP). The paints on their own would be around $58 AUD and a standard single character mini is between $65 – $77 depending on what you are getting. The starter brush is what I would consider a free (disposable) gift, thanks GW.
So, in terms of value, you are getting somewhat of a deal, but it’s not earth shattering. You can get a starter pack with three Infernus Space Marines with six paints (and the brush) for $60AUD – or replace the marines and swap around the paints for three Termagants and a ripper swam.
The Mini is a made to order limited edition, the webpage says only 2,000 will be made. Although it seems to be a push fit style model the limited nature is probably worth the $70AUD – if you have the need for another Space Marine Captain… (looks over to shelf at the three I already have… do I need another one?)
Which show are you keen to watch? What is your favourite franchise coming to the screen?
