Tomorrow is Replacer Day: Min Woo Lee encourages Aussies to clear schedules

Min Woo Lee Unveiled as The Replacer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Media Release:

Tomorrow is Replacer Day.

Min Woo Lee encourages Aussies to clear schedules for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Launch Day

Calendars are blocked, with tomorrow marking the first-ever Replacer Day: an unofficial day off to celebrate the official launch of the hotly anticipated game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

New research reveals the modern Aussie “sickie” isn’t about dodging work – it’s about reclaiming time. In fact, 73% of Aussies admit to skipping work or class when not unwell.

The research revealed that almost a quarter (24%) of Aussies see taking a sickie as a basic right, with participants believing that “everyone deserves a day off now and then”.

Australians believe the average person takes 6 sickies a year, but personally admits to just 2. That gap tightens among Gen Z (expect 8, admit 4) and widens among Boomers (expect 6, admit 1). When asked about the most creative reason they’d taken a sick day, a member of the research study group shared, “Our boss said, ‘This is the third time your grandfather has died.’”.

Now, Call of Duty is giving fans the ultimate reason to take the day: to play Black Ops 7.

Aussies are being encouraged to free themselves on launch day tomorrow and focus on what really matters – playing Black Ops 7. And if that means chucking a sickie, then Call of Duty has them covered with a doctor’s certificate to make it possible.

Tomorrow is Replacer Day: Min Woo Lee encourages Aussies to clear schedules

This comes off the back of a giant statue of golfing superstar Min Woo Lee that appeared in Pitt Street Mall last week to officially announce his role as The Aussie Replacer.

“It’s one of the coolest things I’ve had in my life” said Lee at a press conference last Friday, when asked about the statue.

Talking to his passion for the game, Min Woo shared his love for playing the iconic Call of Duty franchise with friends in his down time. “It’s one way to wind down after golf, or when I’m back at home not playing golf.” shared Lee.

According to Min Woo Lee, the newly appointed Replacer, Aussies should “Call in sick and take the day off to play the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.”

To mark the occasion, Miles Leslie, Associate Creative Director at Treyarch, flew in from California to meet fans of the game and participate in the event.

“We can’t wait for fans to jump into Black Ops 7. This is the biggest Black Ops ever and most ambitious game we’ve ever made, with a narrative that builds on the iconic Black Ops storyline. Across an innovative Co-Op Campaign, signature Multiplayer featuring next-level omnimovement and the biggest round-based- Zombies map ever, there’s something for everyone.” said Leslie.
