Improved Performance and Increased Capacity

The new SSD 9100 PRO 8TB and SSD 9100 PRO 8TB with Heatsink models join 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB SSD 9100 PRO Series models released in Australia in March 2025. The 8TB models mark a significant step forward in offering the highest capacity PCIe SSD released to date by Samsung, providing ultra-high-capacity options for gamers, content creators and professionals demanding top-tier speed and reliability.

The new 8TB models offer lightning-fast performance, enabling the drives to achieve up to 14,800/13,400 MB/s sequential read/write speeds – moving data twice as fast as the previous generation. With random read/write speeds of up to 2,200K/2,600K IOPS respectively, the extended capacity models further support Australians with data intensive workloads such as 8K video editing, AI-based projects, and high-performance gaming.

Enhanced Cooling Protection and Broad Device Compatibility

Built on the PCIe 5.0 interface, both SSD 9100 PRO 8TB and SSD 9100 PRO 8TB with Heatsink models are engineered to deliver ultra-low latency, reduce load time, and ensure seamless gameplay, even in the most demanding environments. Designed to deliver improved thermal efficiency and sustained peak performance, the 8TB SSD 9100 PRO series uses less power than their predecessors. Further, the SSD 9100 PRO with Heatsink offers an additional layer of thermal control.

The 9100 PRO is compatible with a wide range of devices, from laptops and desktop PCs to gaming consoles, making it an ideal choice for seamless upgrades in both performance and capacity. Even as a high-capacity 8TB PCIe 5.0 model, the 11.25mm thin SSD 9100 PRO with Heatsink is designed for compatibility with the PlayStation 5 series, expanding capacity for large game libraries.
