The Holding Cells update is now available in beta
Publisher Astragon Entertainment and developer Aesir Interactive announced that the next update of Police Simulator: Patrol Officers will be released on Steam on 12 April 2022. First published in Early Access for PC in July 2021, Police Simulator: Patrol Officers has not only benefited from a lively and very enthusiastic community but also from high ratings on Steam where it quickly reached the “Very Positive” rating that it still retains today.
Within Police Simulator: Patrol Officer’s large cityscape, players can choose 1 of 8 playable male or female police officers and patrol the city on foot or in one of three types of patrol cars. On day shift or night shift, they encounter various events: accidents, traffic violations, graffiti artists, theft, or drug dealing. While attending an accident site or interviewing the witnesses and suspects of an aggravated assault, players must trust their knowledge of the law and act appropriately and within legal bounds if they wish to succeed.publisher astragon Entertainment and developer Aesir Interactive announced that the next update of Police Simulator: Patrol Officers will be released on Steam on 12 April 2022. THE HOLDING CELLS: REALISM AND MODDING
Always eager to increase the game’s realism, developers Aesir Interactive have chosen two popular requests from virtual officers for their next update. In addition to calling a police van for backup to a crime scene or accident for suspect transportation, players can now use their own vehicle to take up to two handcuffed individuals to the precinct and transfer them into realistically recreated holding cells.
Another often-requested feature, modding, will give creative players the ability to change uniform and vehicle skins to give their officers’ appearance an individual touch and make their patrol cars stand out from the crowd. Other optimizations, such as giving accident reports to arrested persons and fining suspects even after handcuffing them, will improve the gameplay experience alongside other improvements.
Police Simulator: Patrol Officers by developer Aesir Interactive and publisher astragon Entertainment is available now in early access for PC via Steam and the official astragon homepage. The game is supported by a grant from the German funding body FilmFernsehFonds Bayern. Since its initial release, it has already received several major updates adding new city districts and neighbourhoods, more tasks and vehicles, a cooperative two-person multiplayer mode and an Open Patrol free roam mode.
All those who would like to play The Holding Cells update can do so through a beta branch on Steam until its official release in April. For more information, check out the Police Simulator: Patrol Officers homepage, Steam page, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Discord or the game’s Roadmap.
The Holding Cells update started its beta phase on 22 March 2022 and will officially become available as part of the game on 12 April 2022.
