Ark Bob’s Tall Tales Expansion And Free Scorched Earth Available Now

Media Release:

ARK: Survival Ascended Now Available On Xbox Game Pass; New Bob’s Tall Tales Expansion Voiced by Karl Urban & Auli’i Cravalho Charges In With Colossal Oasisaur, Rootin’ Tootin’ Saloons, and Steam Trains!

Studio Wildcard today launched two huge expansions for ARK: Survival Ascended. The Scorched Earth expansion map, a free download for all ASA owners, is filled with six desert-themed biomes teeming with dangerous new creatures including Deathworms and the ultimate desert steed: the Fasolasuchus. Second is Bob’s Tall Tales expansion pass, adding new gameplay features to each main map and four larger-than-life stories of the legendary “Bob” – voiced by Karl Urban (The Boys) — sharing his absolutely pivotal, undeniably central role in ARK’s history to young Meeka, voiced by Auliʻi Cravalho (Moana).

In Bob’s Tall Tales (BTT) legendary ARK veteran Bob is ready to share his own incredibly true adventures with you for the first time! Experience the thrilling wonder and awesome spectacle of Bob’s epic adventures across The Island, Scorched Earth, Aberration, and Extinction! Each Tall Tale delivers unique and helpful creatures and vehicles like the monolithic Oasisaur & Trains on Scorched Earth — with more to come in Aberration and Extinction.

  • BTT: Frontier Showdown (AVAILABLE TODAY): Saddle up and stake your claim on the Scorched Earth! Build new Western-style structures like your own rootin’ tootin’ saloon, then tickle the ivories on your own piano for an authentic frontier experience. Hunt for buried treasure with your trusty shovel, tame hardy new creatures to pull your configurable wagon, and even hop aboard your own chugging steam train to explore those harsh badlands!

The Oasisaur is a colossal yet gravity-defying island with an appetite for large vegetation. This airborne-capable sanctuary cultivates life and its most magical offering is a pool with healing waters, capable of curing ailments and even resurrecting lost animal friends.

  • BTT: Steampunk Ascent (Q4 2024): Gear up with retro-futuristic gadgets, a customizable ship and unravel the mysteries of this enigmatic and lethal underworld.
  • BTT: Wasteland War (Q1 2025): Fuel up your war rigs and fight to rule the desolate wastes of Extinction. Prepare for high-octane automobile action as you clash with rival tribes and scavenge for survival in this post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Additionally, Scorched Earth Expansion Map launched today as a reimaged version of the original desert-themed area now developed in Unreal Engine 5. Scorched Earth takes ARK players to an entirely new land, composed of six unique, desert themed biomes – dunes, high desert, mountains, canyons, badlands and oasis – each with their own aesthetic and ecosystem. Littered with ruins, geysers, and intricate ancient cave systems, survivors will find a whole new frontier to explore and master. Travel back and forth between the Island and the Desert to team up with hundreds of players across both worlds or play locally!

In Scorched Earth’s wasteland is found the new Fasolasuchus that can swim through sand like water. These beasts might pop up suddenly to ambush you, or swim around you fast enough to catch you in a sand-whirlpool. Plus their tails are strong enough to whip up sand to blind predators and prey alike!

The definitive survival experience returns better than ever with ARK: Survival Ascended! Create a Survivor, form a tribe, and then tame, train, breed & ride dinosaurs within a living ecosystem. ASA is now available on PlayStation 5Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC and Steam.
